We have achieved BES 6001 Responsible Sourcing of Construction Products. With increasing focus on sustainable development, we recognise the need to prove that we build using responsibly sourced products. Achieving this standard demonstrates that we have the framework of organisational governance, supply chain management and environmental and social factors necessary to ensure the responsible sourcing of products.
At the Bistivack Group, we understand the impact of construction on the environment. With this in mind, we have developed performance targets and a highly responsible work ethic throughout the businesses in our group, our supply chain and project partners. We have made lasting environmentally sustainable improvements by responsibly sourcing products, recycling materials, managing dust, noise and pollution, and driving out waste. We have focused on removing waste from our sites by attacking up-stream processes and implementing stringent measurement protocols to ensure accuracy and best practice.
The Bistivack Group has signed up to the government-backed initiative Waste and Resources Action Programme and is committing to halving waste to landfill. We endeavour to protect the environment by responsibly meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Our environmental commitment is governed both by ISO 14001 and our own Environmental Management System. We have been successfully FSC and PEFC accredited in relation to sustainable and renewable timber resources. Suffice to say, we never fail to balance our corporate aims with environmental considerations.
Individual commitment to a group effort - that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilisation work.
