As a construction company working on some of the Poland’s most important and highest profile projects, quality of delivery is a priority.

The Bistivack Group's quality management system spans all phases of the project life cycle, from preliminary feasibility analysis and concept development through to final commissioning of the project. Meeting the systems objectives requires a clear understanding of the qualitative and quantitative principles of management, costings, programme and delivery as applied to each project.

We are fully accredited to ISO 9001 standard, focusing all the group’s businesses on the health, safety and welfare of our staff.

Our commitment to health and safety extends beyond words, and into actions and behaviours. In summer 2008 we achieved accreditation to OHSAS 18001, a standard which we are proud to hold because it focuses heavily on excellence in systems and processes, but is underpinned consistently with a clear focus on the health and welfare of our personnel.

We also operates within the requirements of environmental ISO 14001 and are accredited to this internationally-recognised standard. We explain our corporate policy to clients and supply chain prior to any contract award and its principles are adhered to in any work we undertake. We are working towards a carbon neutral status and in doing so are raising awareness of the need to achieve environmental best practice both at home and in the workplace.

Using natural materials from fully sustainable and renewable sources is a key area of focus for our business. All timber used by Bistivack Bros now comes from an approved plantation in Brazil assessed for its ethical growing and harvesting policy. This, together with a strict recycling regime, led to Bistivack Bros and Ellmer Construction being among the first to receive FSC and PEFC certification.

Bistivack Group operates and is committed to a behavioural safety programme known as IIF (Incident and Injury Free). Our intent is to change the culture at a 'hearts and minds' level and to nurture human responses within our workforce to keeping themselves and others safe.
